There are several ways in which members can pay their monthly electric bills ranging from stopping in the office to signing up for Direct AutoPay. We invite you to review the options below to find a payment method that best fits your needs.
For members that may need assistance with paying their bill, we have an online listing of local energy assistance providers that may be able to offer some assistance. It is the member’s responsibility to make contact with the agency in your area to determine any assistance eligibility.
Direct AutoPay
The Cooperative’s Direct AutoPay plan allows our electric customers to pay their monthly electric bill without ever having to send us another check. The electric bill is paid on the due date on my electric bill each month. The amount will be automatically deducted from your bank account or charged to your credit card on the due date. If the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, your bank account or credit/debit card will be charged the following business day.
Electric members enrolled in the plan will still receive the normal electric bill about the 15th of each month. All charges will be listed, along with a line showing “AUTO-PAY – DO NOT REMIT,” and the amount which will be deducted from your account. This will allow you approximately 13 days to review your electric bill and to call us with any questions before the payment will be deducted from your bank account.
Sign up for AutoPay
Click the link below to print the authorization form. Completely fill it out and attach a voided blank check or savings withdrawal slip from the designated account you want the direct payment taken from.
* Once established, this AutoPay authorization will remain in effect until the members notifies McLeod Co-op Power at least four business days before the due date on my electric bill to cancel it. This will give McLeod Co-op Power sufficient time to act on your canceling request. Even though you can stop payment by notifying your bank at least four days before the due date on the electric bill; you are still responsible to pay bill using other means by the due date.
Please allow 4-5 weeks for processing your application. Continue your payment as usual until you see the “AUTO-PAY – DO NOT REMIT” line on your bill.
