Student Line Worker Scholarship
MCPA is proud to offer an annual scholarship program for persons enrolling to be power line worker program at a Minnesota vocational college. Typically, one $500 scholarship is available through the Cooperative. Click here to learn more about a career as a line worker.

Washington D.C Youth Tour
If you are a High School Junior or Senior and your parents are members of our Cooperative you could win an all-expense trip to Washington, DC. This is a youth leadership development opportunity involving youth from across the country, sponsored by the National Rural Electrical Cooperative Association. You’ll have a chance to learn about our nation’s political system, see the sights, and benefit from the leadership development programs. MCPA selects one student per year to participate in this unique opportunity. We encourage local juniors and seniors to review and complete the application.
The 2026 Rural Electric Youth Tour dates are June 15-20.
Application deadline is March 1st.
Minnesota Twins Youth Baseball Clinic
We’re proud to be hosting a local MN Twins Youth Baseball Clinic. This year’s event will be held on Friday, June 27, and is free to attend for ages 6-12. These clinics are a fun morning of skill development in collaboration with the Twins and the Arlington A’s.

Ridgewater College Foundation Scholarships
McLeod Cooperative Power donates scholarship dollars annually to the Ridgewater College Foundation in Hutchinson and Willmar providing two $500 scholarships. Students of Ridgewater who graduated from a high school in McLeod, Renville, Sibley, or Carver County may apply via the Ridgewater Foundation.
