Energy Audits: The Cooperative offers electrical energy audits at no charge to its members. Audits are helpful in assessing electrical consumption, learning cost effective ways to conserve electricity and trouble-shooting problems with underground wiring and appliances. Call the Member Service Department to schedule an in-home audit.

Tree Trimming: The Cooperative and its contractors perform all right-of-way maintenance and tree trimming. Power outages are often caused by tree limbs falling onto or making contact with power lines. Our right-of-way maintenance program allows the Cooperative to cut, trim and apply chemicals to all trees and brush to a minimum of 20 feet (ten feet on each side of the power line). This helps reduce line-loss and makes service more reliable for our customers.

The Cooperative takes care of clearing tree branches up to the member’s electric meter. Members are responsible for removal of trees or branches between the meter and their buildings. The Cooperative will assist members by disconnecting the wires so they can have the tree safely removed, during business hours, at no charge.

Security Lights: The Cooperative installs and maintains rental security lights for its members. All rental lights are mounted on Cooperative electric poles. High pressure sodium lights in 70 watt and 150 watt sizes are available for rent. Call the Cooperative for a price quote.

Neutral-to-Earth Voltage Testing: Neutral-to-Earth or stray voltage testing is available to farmers with herds experiencing related symptoms. The Cooperative will work with the farmer and their electrician on checking the electrical system.
